Bexhill and Battle Labour Party are excited to announce the next person on our roster of candidates for the 2021 East Sussex County Council elections.
It is with great pride that we announce Richard Sage has been selected to stand for the Labour Party in the County Division of Bexhill South.
Richard is a retired teacher and experienced community advocate who has lived in Bexhill town centre for over 10 years. As well as being a proud grandfather, Richard is currently Chair of Governors at Chantry Primary School, Chair of Governors at a school in Pevensey, a local support Governor and a member of the East Sussex Governors’ Forum. Richard is also a volunteer driver for Bexhill Care in the Community, as well as an umpire in the Sussex Cricket league.
During the pandemic, Richard delivered shopping and care packages as part of the ‘BEAT’ mutual aid efforts and helped Care in the Community to deliver their much needed services to vulnerable residents in the area. Richard is also a regular volunteer at the Bexhill Primary Care Network’s vaccination hub up in Sidley.
