CLP general meeting to discuss conference business

A large group of members met on the hottest evening of the summer to debate a range of proposed motions to submit to the forthcoming Labour Party Conference  Topics included Brexit, economic policy, the NHS, housing, teenage mental health, grammar schools, NATO and nuclear disarmament. Every issue was important and well argued but in the end the winning motion was in support of a properly funded NHS and a systematic approach to tackling the causes of ill health.
